Marie’s Story

I noticed that, in the social and environmental realms, partnerships with artists with significant “platforms” had unrealized potential.

I wanted to figure out why

and most importantly what maximizing that potential would look like, as I had a strong sense that doing so could have powerfully beautiful results.

So I packed up, drove and hiked east west across the country with my loyal K9 and settled on the west coast/Las Vegas for a while in quest of learning more about the music industry and how to activate fans.

Together with an expert in the psychology and neuroscience of communications for social and environmental good, I designed a study and got to work attending major shows and interviewing fans.

I met people in the music industry who were curious and inspired by what I was doing and helped me understand the industry better. I met and deep interviewed countless fans, at shows and online, and even on the road at some point when I had the chance of following a show on part of its Asia Pacific tour. (I can still hear the fans singing every word of every song!)

Today those fans regularly come to me when they need advice on social and environmental fronts, from how to keep their influencer fan social media accounts fun successful kind and un-divisive, to greening their lives and businesses, to understanding the root causes of social change movements like Black Lives Matter, to identifying causes and organizations to support and how, to cite a few examples.

The goal was to figure out how to tune fan engagement, in all directions
